VIBGYOR N.E Foundation, which is registered with the Niti Ayog (NITIDARPAN Unique Id: AS/2019/0248583), has been spearheading various activities across Northeast Bharat & beyond in the environment and sustainable development domains.
The Foundation organized the first-ever Northeast Green Summit in 2016. This was the first such initiative in Northeastern Bharat to ensure sustainable development of the region with an integrated approach.
The Chhattisgarh Green Summit aims to promote sustainable development in Chhattisgarh by bringing together stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society. The Summit seeks to foster environmental stewardship and encourage responsible practices in mining, industry, and other sectors. It will showcase green initiatives and success stories from Chhattisgarh and beyond, and encourage innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders.
The Summit will raise awareness about environmental challenges and opportunities in Chhattisgarh, and inform policy and practice through research, innovation, and expertise. It will inspire action and commitment among stakeholders to promote sustainable development and environmental stewardship. The Summit will focus on key areas such as green mining, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, eco-tourism, and climate change, with the goal of promoting a greener, more sustainable future for Chhattisgarh.

An Interactive Eco-Learning Trail
From medicinal plants and millets to recycling corners and Janjati knowledge hubs, this guided trail invites visitors to engage with various eco-themed zones across the Summit venue. At each stop, complete a short activity, collect a stamp in your Green Trail Passport, and earn a meaningful eco-reward.

Eco-Expressions: Face & Tattoo Art
A vibrant showcase of symbolic face painting with natural pigments and live demonstrations of Janjati tattoo traditions—celebrating biodiversity, climate resilience, and janjati identity through art

Janjati melodies & dance
Cultural evenings will feature Parab Dance, Dewar Kama Dance, Gedi Dance, Panthi Dance, and performances by the Chhattisgarh Folk Band, celebrating nature through rhythm and movement.

Performance Art – Art in Action
Fine Arts students will stage thought-provoking live acts on climate change, pollution, and sustainability. Featured pieces like Recycle Me and Water is Life use movement and visual metaphors to spark environmental dialogue.

Folklore Storytelling
Oral traditions and folktales will explore nature’s spiritual role in janjati life, portraying animals and plants as symbols of wisdom and interconnectedness.

Traditional Instrumental Recital
Traditional instruments like dhapra, nishan, nagara, tudburi, mohri-shehnai, mandar will be showcased during the Summit.

Green Enterprises Zone
A curated space for local eco-entrepreneurs to present sustainable products, innovations, and services that promote green living and market access.

Traditional Cuisine Pavilion
Women-led stalls will offer ethnic Chhattisgarhi foods rooted in janjati fermentation and plant-based diets, reflecting the region’s deep ecological knowledge.

Open-Air Live Performances
Evening showcases will feature janjati dances, instrumental recitals, and storytelling—highlighting Madiya Mor Nritya, Gedi Nritya, Kaksar Nritya, Karma Nritya, Madi Karma Nritya, and dramatic performances.

Muria Painting Installation
A special installation will honor Bastar’s Muria painting tradition, blending janjati motifs with contemporary ecological themes to celebrate janjati wisdom.

Art Walk – Nature in Motion
Janjati artists and students will present live demonstrations of nature-inspired art forms, including wildlife painting, tattoo art, and eco-friendly crafts. Visitors can engage in hands-on activities and explore a dedicated pavilion showcasing sustainable janjati artistry.

Shrijan – Yogic Lifestyle & Wellness
Yoga dance performances, meditation workshops, and herbal food traditions will promote inner ecology and mindful living through holistic practices.

Stalls & Live Looms
Master artisans will exhibit and sell eco-friendly crafts including Bell Metal, Iron, Wood, and Clay works. Live demonstrations will showcase traditional techniques and sustainable practices.
Building upon the previous Summit’s foundation, the Chhattisgarh Green Summit 2025 aims to accelerate sustainable development by bridging traditional wisdom with modern innovations. The event will highlight policy integration, industrial sustainability, green entrepreneurship, and janjati knowledge to create a holistic framework for environmental and economic resilience.

Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University
Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, established in 1964, is the largest and oldest institution of higher education in Chhattisgarh. Located in the western part of Raipur, PRSU is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and research.
The university features an air-conditioned auditorium equipped with modern audio-visual facilities, accommodating over 550 attendees. This space is frequently used for major academic and cultural events, including convocation ceremonies and conferences. Additionally, PRSU offers multiple conference halls, providing well-equipped venues for technical sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.
